Jim Bartel is Touchstone’s Sport Practice Leader, as well as an FMCG/Consumer Practice Manager

 

Jim’s areas of focus are: Providing senior executive search and strategic consulting to Australian and international sporting codes, clubs, government and regulatory bodies, and well as supporting local and multinational corporations within the FMCG and broader consumer space.

 

Jim’s knowledge of and network in both the domestic and international professional sport industry, is unprecedented in the senior executive search industry in Australia. Further, Jim’s experience working with both ASX-listed and blue chip multinational FMCG and broader consumer businesses has enabled Jim to introduce true “high Performance” to the senior search space, offering clients a truly Outcome – Focused, Delivery Driven service offering.

 

Jim began his search career with Touchstone Consulting in 2012, where he worked directly with MD Chris Klingbeil in the FMCG/Consumer practice group. Until his retirement in 2016, Jim was also a senior AFL player with the Geelong Football Club, one the of the league’s most successful clubs, winning 3 premierships in 2007, 2009, and 2011. Individually, Jimmy is the only AFL player to be awarded the Brownlow and Norm Smith Medals, and well as the Jim Stynes Community Leadership Award, which he received for his work in campaigning against domestic violence.
